SEAX Global signs agreement for private suite at Global Switch Singapore Tai Seng; plans to host SEAX-1 Subsea Cable

Global Switch is pleased to announce that SEAX Global, a leader in Southeast Asia’s wholesale connectivity solutions, has signed an agreement for a private suite at Global Switch Singapore Tai Seng, to host its regional subsea cable, SEAX-1. This strategic infrastructure will connect Singapore to Indonesia via Batam and Jakarta, and extend to Johor, Malaysia and Thailand, reinforcing regional connectivity.

SEAX-1 will leverage Global Switch Singapore as a central hub, with plans to establish a terrestrial ring in Malaysia linking Kuala Lumpur, Sedenak, and Nusajaya, which will loop back to Tai Seng. Additionally, SEAX is exploring the setup of Point of Presence (POP) at other Global Switch locations in the region.
This cable is a key component of SEAX’s regional strategy, connecting major data centres in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand, and enhancing digital infrastructure across Southeast Asia.

“Singapore is a strategic network hub in Southeast Asia, and with the current growing AI related expansion in the region, this is a natural progression aligned with our business expansion. SEAX is honoured to expand its presence with Global Switch which has been a traditional data centre operator with decades of experience in reliability, and has a vast community within its ecosystem.” said Louis Teng, Group CEO, SEAX Global. “Our investment in a dedicated suite at Global Switch underscores SEAX’s commitment to delivering secure, scalable, and future-ready digital infrastructure while maintaining the “convenience of interconnection” for our partners and customers.”

“We’re proud to support SEAX’s vision with this private suite at Tai Seng,” said Terence Teo, Managing Director, Singapore. “This partnership reflects our commitment to enabling regional growth through robust digital infrastructure.”
